V4 Pedestrian Crossings

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Milton Keynes Council has written to the Parish Council to provide you with information about the construction of the new underpass between Whitehouse and Two Mile Ash on the V4, Watling Street. This scheme is part of the Western Expansion Area (WEA) pedestrian crossings. It is anticipated that the construction works will commence on the week of 13 May until December 2019. This is a major engineering project with many major services and utilities which will be required to be diverted. Anglian Water will also be constructing a new pipeline along the V4 from the H3 to H4. MKCouncil are also working with L&Q Estates (previously known as Gallagher Estates) to support the next phase of Western Expansion Area. To enable all of these works, the road between Crownhill roundabout (H4) and Fairfields roundabout (H3) will be closed during this period. The current redway between this stretch will also be diverted. These will be reviewed throughout the works to minimise any disruption. MKCouncil will be holding roadshows, where residents can come and see plans and ask any questions. These will be held at the following venues:

Friday 3 May 2019 14.30- 16.30 Whitehouse School
Wednesday 8 May 2019 14:30-16:30 Two Mile Ash School
Thursday 9 May 2019 14:30-16:30 Hilltops Medical Centre
Saturday 11 May 2019 10.00-12.00 Sainsbury’s, Shenley Church End

Further updates of the construction programme and plans will be published on this webpage www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/v4crossings
