Richard Chappell

Councillor

Richard was co-opted on to The Parish Council in January 2024.

Richard has been a resident in Loughton for approximately ten years, although his wife and her mother have had ties to Loughton for over 50 years.  Richard has three children, 29, 26 and 20 with the two youngest still living at home and his mother-in-Law lives in a self-contained property in their garden. So, there are now three generations in Loughton, plus three dogs!

Since selling his business Richard has taken on a plural career as Chair and Non-Executive Director across several businesses in several sectors including support services and a Housing Association.  His passion remains business but most importantly creating memories with his wife, family and friends, holidays, Leeds United and sport generally.

Richard wants to see Loughton and Great Holm develop, improve, and continue to be a great place for people to live and enjoy the unique balance that this area provides. 

Richard believes if we look after where we live and the people within it, then we will all benefit.
