The first hustings meeting for this year’s local elections facilitated by Loughton & Great Holm Parish Council, was held yesterday (Wednesday 23rd May 2014) at the National Badminton Centre, Loughton Lodge, and was attended by over 50 local residents, a wide variety of questions were asked ranging from parking, school expansion, health facilities, the condition of the redways, pot holes, maintaining the open green spaces, the lack of affordable housing, education and skills training, attracting more employers into Milton Keynes.

The panel consisted of Cllr Andrew Geary Leader of the Council and Conservative Group, Cllr Peter Marland Leader of the Labour Group, Cllr Robin Bradburn of the Liberal Democrat Group and Mr Ronen Ghose of the UK Independence Party.

Each Panel Member was asked to speak on what their vision would be, if their political group were to form the next administration, after the local elections are held on Thursday 22nd May.

The Chairman of the Parish Council Cllr Peter Todd chaired the session which was a lively although very good natured event.
